I a back from Canada!! It is a wonderful place and I enjoyed my holidays very much there.... But from Monday school starts again, and a very busy year

Good luck Ben !! It's not easy to find something cheap near paris but I didn't think Palaiseau was expensive... :S

The problem is that there are a lot of universities around Palaiseau so the flats are sold very quickly. It was easier in Aachen

Other than that, my favourite subjects at school aren't my favourite subjects anymore (Religious Studies and Media Studies) because the teachers I had last year left, and they were really good... and my Religious Studies teacher thought I was weird because I asked my friend if I could touch her hair o_O Is that a weird thing to ask?

A little topic about the Large Hadron Collider. We (the science geeks and other physicists) have been waiting for it for more than 20 years !!!
And NOW it is ! We have finally the tool to check the existence of the Higgs boson, the supersymetry, the string theory and maybe solve the problem of the dark mattery and the mystery of the annihilation of the anti mattery. The protons are accelerate to a speed only 2.7 m/s lower than the speed of the light !!!! i really hope that this accelerator will give some interesting result about the story of the universe and allow the physic to make a big jump toward the future (yes I'M HAPPY !!!)

Hey that sounds fun!!! In dark material I am interested since Golden Compass and anti material is interesting since Dan Brown!!! So I really hope we can learn some new things about the orld and life and university and everything!

Since Tuesday, all the idiots at school have been saying that the world was going to end and we were going to be sucked into a black hole. What a load of bullcrap :P

@WTI: No problem about the world falling down in a black hole. If a black hole is created it will be too small and die too quickly to make something. Everyday the Earth receives cosmic radiation more energetic than the particles of the LHC and we are still here
@Nymeria: Physics of particles and astrophysic is not my speciallity. My speciallities are optic (especially laser), semiconductor devices and quantum mechanics. But in hobbies I love maths and physic in general
A lot of very important devices are comming (LHC,VIRGO,ITER) and I think that some big discoveries will be done during this century
We are all researcher who are workinbg for a new discovery (the new SoS album here )

I really don't believe the world ending next month etc etc.

Also; I'm back and nothing happened, I didn't get a direct hit so my fence just got battered, some places in my town got water from high tides, and that's it really. Didn't even lose power so I'm quite thankful I didn't end up in the situation that other cities/towns ended up in. I feel sorry for those people...
